Let’s learn more about Suzette.
How long have you been a photographer?
My first memory of being a photographer is when I was in junior high school. A cousin was being baptized and I took along the family camera to capture a few shots. My mother thought I was annoying. The photos taken by the new parents didn’t come out and they were extremely grateful to have mine. This taught me about the power of photography.
What subjects inspire you?
I guess I would have to say flowers inspire me the most, but landscapes come in a close second.
What camera(s) do you use? Besides your camera, what is your favorite photography tool and why?
I just use an old Nikon. A fairly simple one. Probably the tripod is the tool I use the most. I have an iPhone that came out a year ago and it is surprising good.
Who or what has influenced your photography the most?
I guess if you live next to Yosemite you have to say Ansel is your inspiration.
What’s your favorite part of the process?
The best part of photography is just doing it. The processing can be the most tedious. Spending time behind a camera is infinitely more fun than sitting in front of a computer screen.
