Join us on March 11, 2020 at 6:30 pm for a program featuring RJ Franklin, a local photographer who has been living and working in Yosemite National Park for the last 7 years. RJ will talk to us about how he plans and executes photographing the landscape of Yosemite with the night sky from out-of-the way places in the park.
RJ grew up in Fresno, CA spending most of his time on a skateboard with his friends. This is where his passion for photography began.
Shortly before moving to Yosemite he was taken out on his first astro photoshoot and immediately fell in love with the mysterious night sky. Most of his days off are now spent hiking and backpacking around the park, searching for his next shot.
You can see more of RJ’s photography here.
