Join us June 12th as photographer Ron Webb talks to us about night photography and painting with light.
Ron has been addicted to photography since he bought his first camera in 1977. Originally self-taught, Ron was fortunate enough to eventually take classes and participate in workshops taught by some of the great “American Masters of Photography”. Ron has been on a 40+ year journey filled with the excitement and satisfaction that comes from nurturing an artistic longing within this technological medium.
Ron began as a science teacher in 1976, but his focus switched to photography after a teaching assignment in Micronesia. The bulk of his career was teaching high school photography in Clovis, CA from 1980 until his retirement in 2015. Even though he’s retired from the classroom, Ron continues to mentor, judge photography competitions, and do contract photography for a variety of clients. Ron considers himself the grateful one who gets to say… “My passion is my profession.”
Below is a sample of Ron’s work.
